“Open the Window” | A Nationwide Celebration of Arts Education and Canadian Musical Theatre

"Open the Window: A Nationwide Celebration of Arts Education and Canadian Musical Theatre". This is an initiative to nominate students and teachers who have made an impact on each others' lives during the Pandemic. These can be students or teachers at a school/extracurricular arts program/private studio- whatever!

Once nominations have been received we will work with the participants to choose a song from the Canadian Musical Theatre repertoire (with the help of the newly developed Canadian Musical Theatre Database website cmtdb.ca) that best represents the person they have nominated/the impact they have made during the Pandemic and then a group of professional artists perform the songs at a concert in Barrie/Collingwood in mid November with a video/spoken tribute to introduce each song. Participants get to come to the concert free of charge and get a video of the show!

All info/eligibility criteria as well as the NOMINATION FORM can be found at cmtdb.ca/openthewindow.

FYI We’d like submissions in by September 30th so if you have someone particular who may be interested in nominating someone (or if you have anyone in mind yourself) please tell them to get the form in as soon as they can!

Don’t forget to let them know that “Justin Stadnyk” referred you.
